Christmas present

November 30, 2014

Are you looking for a Christmas present?

Do you have no clue what you could wish for Christmas? Or are you still looking for a suitable present for your beloved ones?

We have the perfect idea for you!

Why don’t you wish school uniforms for two Kenyan students with a poor background? With only 30 Swiss Francs you can donate a uniform for two students from the primary school „Milele Education Centre“ in Mombasa for the next school year. The uniform set will include a shirt, a short/skirt, socks and shoes. Please help us to make a present to children who are really in need.

Send us an email with your contact information using the subject “Christmas Present” to foreverkidskenya@hotmail.com and tell us how many students you would like to make a present to (or the amount you would like to spend).

If you would like to donate this money in the name of someone, please indicate the name of this person and your own name and we will issue a Christmas present certificate for you.

Thank you very much for your generosity!

Acting for a good cause

October 7, 2014

On June 25 and June 26, 2014 a school theater took place with the graduating class in St. Gallen. The profit was collected for the final trip of the class and a generous part of it was given to Forever Kids Kenya for the "encouragement of education in other countries". Under the motto "from students to students". A grand thank you for the support of the teenagers from Class 6 and their class teacher Sidonia Zwyssig!

The Forever Kids Kenya Family is growing!

August 7, 2014

Our team is receiving further support. In order to compensate the expatriation of two members, as well as future travel plans of other members, Forever Kids Kenya was looking for an addition to our team. In Sibylle Frei we found the perfect match for our association. Sibylle was able to acquire several years of working experience in a travel agency and already got to know our school in Mombasa personally during a visit in January 2014. With immediate effect, she will become part of our communications team and will regularly update you with exciting contributions. We would like to thank Sibylle for her commitment and are welcoming her warmly in our team.

Guerilla knitting

April 18, 2014

They produced a colourful atmosphere during the long and grey Swiss winter – now the knitting pieces are being removed from the trees of Berikon village. Tomorrow’s closing ceremony of this guerrilla knitting initiative at „Berimärt“ in Berikon (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) is a unique opportunity to secure a colourful piece as a souvenir. At 3 p.m. the final tombola will take place in the presence of our president. Besides being “lady lucky”, Nadja will also present the activities of Forever Kids Kenya and will accept a generous donation by the organizers for our slum school in Kenya. We would like to thank the initiator Sylvia Huber as well as all involved parties for their generous support!

The new school books are here!

February 26, 2014

In December we were asking for your support in purchasing new schoolbooks for our Kenyan slum school. The positive responses and amount of donations we received, surpassed our highest expectations. We were able to collect a total of 2845 Swiss Francs for new books. In the meantime, our local project manager and director of the school purchased the needed material in a local bookstore. The school personnel helped to wrap the new books in protective sheet in order to increase the resistance of the books. Due to your generosity, the students of the Precious Vision Care Centre were able to start the new school year with new up-to-date material. Thank you very much for helping us to enhance the quality of the learning environment for our students!
